Italeri 1:24
First introduced in 1977, the F-12 is a heavy-duty truck produced by the Swedish automobile manufacturer Volvo. It first appeared with the F-10 in the F series, born as a successor to the N series. The numbers represent the displacement, and the F-12 is equipped with a 12-liter engine. The in-line six-cylinder engine was equipped with a turbocharger with an intercooler to produce high power. In addition to being equipped with an adjustable steering wheel, the noise level inside the cab is kept low, and the front and door shock-absorbing equipment is firmly incorporated; a large storage space and comfortable bunk bed are included. It was one of the first trucks to realize comfortable and safe equipment for the driver, and it became the leading model of the cab-over trailer head at the time.
This model kit from Italeri reproduces the F-12 with a low-roof cabin. It's fully detailed from the engine to the chassis; not only is the cab-over design carefully expressed, but the interior is also detailed, down to the seats and dashboard. A wealth of accessory parts are included, such as the roof equipment and front visor, as well as ladders installed on both sides of the cabin. The hood can be tilted up after completion to admire the detailed reproduction of the in-line six-cylinder engine, including turbochargers and other auxiliary equipment.
