Yamashita Hobby's 1/700-scale model kit of the Special Destroyer Type III "Ikazuchi" is back in a new package. During the Battle of Surabaya, the destroyer found hundreds of crew members adrift from the British cruiser Exeter and destroyer Encounter, which had both been sunk by the Japanese Navy, and rescued all of them. This model kit is based on illustrations drawn at the time. Photo-etched parts are included for the hastily installed toilet, the tent erected on the foredeck, and the handrails erected around the weapons.
