Pit Road 1:700
The supply ship Tokiwa was commissioned in March 1990 as the second ship of the Towada type. In 1991, after the Gulf War, she participated in the first deployment of the Self-Defense Forces overseas, supporting the Persian Gulf Minesweeping Force.
Since then, she has been engaged in many missions such as supply support in the Indian Ocean, and disaster relief after the Great East Japan Earthquake. Currently, she belongs to the 1st Marine Supply Squadron of the convoy escort fleet, and her regular port of call is Yokosuka.
