The Ushio was equipped with anti-aircraft weapons for the second half of World War II. Along with the Hibiki, the Ushio survived the war and was used as a boarding vessel afterward. The air intake tube at the base of the chimney and the anti-aircraft gun platform are reproduced with newly molded parts.
