The Tornado is a multi-purpose attack aircraft that was jointly developed by the United Kingdom, West Germany, and Italy. It made its first flight in 1974, and deployment and operation began in 1979. An attack aircraft type IDS with a low-altitude precision attack as its main mission and an air defense fighter type ADV derived from that aircraft were developed and deployed in various countries since the 1980s. Its main wing is a variable type, and it's equipped with two turbo union RB199-34R Mk103 engines. This aircraft demonstrated high short-range takeoff performance. The pilot sits in the front seat, and the navigator sits in the back seat. In addition to being operated by the TTTE, a joint crew-training organization of the three countries, it is also operated by the bomber wing and reconnaissance wing in Germany.
This model kit features plastic parts by F-Toys, which are easy to assemble; parts for two aircraft are included. This is the IDS type. The aircraft's distinctive shape and panel lines are realistically reproduced, and the main variable wing can be moved even after completion. The cockpit is fully detailed, and two crewmember figures are included. Decals by Cartograf are included from the three-country joint Tornado training institute with green camouflage, Luftwaffe A Squadron, and an aircraft belonging to the 33rd Fighter Bomber Wing with gray Luftwaffe camouflage.
