JMSDF's Abukuma class DE is categorized as a coastal guard ship but has displacement tonnage of 2000t and the wide variety of weapons as Harpoon SSM launchers, 20mm CIWS, 76mm gun, ASROC SUM launcher & torpedo launchers as to the fleet destroyer. Abukuma (DE229) is the name ship and Jintsu (DE230) is its second ship. Hasegawa's new model is the two-in-one kit and depicts the completion state of the ships. As the new tooling kit, it achieves the excellent molding standard of nowadays. Hull parts is splitted in half. A set of decal for two ships is provided for the white lines painted on the deck ship names and numbers.

The battleship Yamato is depicted as it set out towards Okinawa, showcasing its final appearance with the "black-painted deck" feature. Etching parts are included!

Features:
No painting required: Parts are molded in their respective colors, and some parts use stickers for additional color detail.
No adhesive needed: The parts fit together easily with a snap-fit design, allowing for simple assembly.
This product is based on the Ten-ichi Operation (Okinawa Special Attack Operation) of April 1945. The hull and bottom of the ship are divided at the waterline, allowing for both a waterline and full-hull model. To show differences in the shape compared to the ship's state in 1944 or its completion, dedicated parts have been used.

A black, discreet, linear design base for display is included, along with bonus parts for users seeking a more detailed model. The bonus parts include 78 machine gun ammunition boxes, mast supports, and aerial supports above the secondary gun turrets.

The box art depicts the Yamato cruising at high speed under a clear sky, created by Yoshiyuki Takano.

The molded parts come in 6 colors: Kure Naval Arsenal color, hull color, black, dark gray, gold, and dark green.

Size when completed: 379mm x 60mm x 77mm (excluding display base).

During the Battle of Surabaya, the destroyer found hundreds of crew members adrift from the British cruiser Exeter and destroyer Encounter, which had both been sunk by the Japanese Navy, and rescued all of them. This model kit is based on illustrations drawn at the time. Photo-etched parts are included for the hastily installed toilet, the tent erected on the foredeck, and the handrails erected around the weapons.

Originally built as a cargo ship for Kawasaki Kisen, this vessel was outfitted as a special seaplane tender in 1942 during the Pacific War.
While on transport missions, it survived two torpedo attacks by US submarines, which failed to detonate, but was ultimately sunk by bombing in May 1945.
This kit brings the Kunikawa Maru, converted into a special seaplane tender, to 1/700 scale as a plastic model.
The kit features a streamlined part structure for easy assembly while accurately reproducing key details.
Newly designed fittings include 25mm twin machine guns and aircraft catapults, capturing the precision and detail of 1/700 scale.
