Fujimi 1:700 Bausatz
1/700 Special 7 Japanese Navy Heavy Cruiser Myoko
You can choose and assemble the appearance from the time of the outbreak of war in 1941 (Showa 16) to 1944 (Showa 19)! New parts have been added.
This product allows you to select and assemble the Myoko-class first ship "Myoko" in its forms during the outbreak of war (Showa 16), during the Battle of the Mariana Islands (Showa 18-19), and during the Battle of Leyte Gulf (October 1944).
In the outbreak of war in 1941, the lookout station was small, and 13mm twin machine guns were mounted on both sides of the bridge.
From 1943 onward, during the Battle of the Mariana Islands, it was equipped with a Type 21 radar, enhanced with 25mm twin machine guns, a defense command center, and windbreak devices.
In 1944, during the Battle of Leyte Gulf, it featured Type 13/22 radar and was equipped with 25mm triple machine guns and single machine guns.
To standardize the reproduction degree of equipment due to the release timing of the product, new molds have been used, and some parts have been designed with consideration for painting work.
- Type 13 radar has a truss structure with sculptural expression, and the aerial part has also been shaped.
- Type 21 radar features delicate sculpting for the insulator base that fixes the elements on the front.
- Type 22 radar is made into parts in an open state using a slide mold.
- The 12.7cm twin high-angle gun A1 Type 1 is subdivided into 5 parts, increasing the modeling resolution from the existing 2 parts.
- The 9-meter cutter is divided into 2 parts for painting consideration, with separate parts for the stand, allowing for selection between it and a molded deck.
- The 11-meter inboard motorboat has separate parts for the canvas, steering room, and machine room canopy for painting consideration.
Each painting is done, followed by assembly and gluing.
- The 12-meter inboard launch can also express the shape without the canvas.
- The ship's boat rack is molded with uneven shapes and light holes, enhancing the precision feel in its design.
- The bow's chrysanthemum emblem and the side lanterns of the bridge are provided as new parts.
- The life buoys on the stern and the sides of the bridge are provided as dedicated parts.
Parts that were enclosed at the time of release have also been changed to meet recent standards. 110cm searchlights and 60cm signal searchlights are included as common parts. The Kure Type 2 Model 5 launcher has parts using slide molds.
- The air defense command center and the compass bridge have added binocular parts.
- Added decals for the ship's name on the stern (military ship color fill) and white lines on the mast.
- The Type 96 25mm machine gun now has a 2-part structure that reduces painting and color separation work as standard.
Hull
- The hull is molded as a one-piece structure with both sides formed together, allowing for more stable assembly compared to left and right joined structures.
- The bulge characteristic of the hull is expressed as an integral part of the hull.
- The portholes are in the state of the outbreak of war, and the external electrical circuits are reproduced with integral sculpting on the hull.
Decks
- The upper deck is a single part, while the forward and shelter deck sections are separate parts, with the rear being integrated with the hull.
- Various sculpting such as machine gun ammunition boxes, single machine gun mounting areas, and hose reels are reproduced.
- The shelter deck is made into a separate part, and the lower torpedo mounting area is also reproduced.
Bridge & Mast
- The bridge base, composed of characteristic curves, is three-dimensionalized by combining front and side parts.
- The lookout station/air defense command center has dedicated separate parts to represent annual differences.
- Each layer of decks, including the compass bridge and lower lookout, is expressed with a stacked structure.
- The front mast is reproduced in two forms as it was at the outbreak of war and subsequently revised, each with dedicated parts.
Main Gun Turret & Funnel
- The main gun barrel is designed to be fixed to the turret, and the turret allows for rotation with incorporated polycaps.
- The rangefinder hoods for turrets 2 and 4 include dedicated parts to reproduce their later appearance.
- The front and rear funnels are both split into left and right sections, with handrails, double scaffolding, and steam discharge pipes represented as integral sculpting.
Rear Mast & Aviation Equipment
- The rear mast is a structure composed of 3 parts, divided at the cross tree top and bottom.
- The crane for retrieving water reconnaissance planes has been shaped to represent its form exchanged for a hoist crane type.
- The aviation work deck is sculpted with linoleum-covered hold-downs.
Aircraft
- The molded color is gray to improve workability (to prevent damage during gate cutting).
- It includes two each of the Type 95 seaplane, Zero Type (three-seater) seaplane, and Zero Type reconnaissance aircraft.
- It can reproduce the deployment of two Type 95 seaplanes and one Zero Type seaplane from 1941 to 1942.
- It can also reproduce the deployment of two Zero Type reconnaissance planes and one Zero Type seaplane from 1943 onward.
Included Decals
- Markings such as the naval ensign, national flag, and Hinomaru (Japanese flag) for the onboard aircraft are included.
- Sizes for the naval ensign are prepared in three variations, with actual dimensions of 10 widths, 6 widths, and 3 widths scaled down to 1/700.
- The Hinomaru for the onboard aircraft and the friendly identification band (yellow band) are included, with the later versions of the Hinomaru without white borders also included.
- Decals for the white lines on the mast and the ship's name on the stern (in gold and military ship color fill) are included.
Included Contents
28 runners - Assembly instructions x1 - Decals x2
Please note that due to monitor and image resolution issues, the appearance of colors may differ from the actual product.
