The aircraft carrier Soryu supported the Japanese military by achieving great success in various areas, along with the aircraft carrier Hiryu from the start of the Pacific War. Aoshima's 1/700-scale "Waterline" model kit of the Soryu features parts that are simple and easy to assemble, with only the essential parts included. Newly designed equipment such as twin machine guns and anti-aircraft guns have been added; early Japanese Navy carrier-based aircraft are also included.
