The Savanna RX-7 first appeared in March of 1978. With its stylish retractable headlights, it gained popularity. It makes the best of its lightweight rotary engine, and with its low center of gravity and high maneuverability, it was as cleverly designed in the way a typical sports car is and in 1979 it garnered great attention among the American motor sports scene through the International Motor Sports Association (IMSA) when it debuted in the 24 Hours of Daytona race and won first place in the GTU racing class. It continued to win for seven years in a row.
This kit replicates car 7, as driven by the Three Musketeers of racing: Yoshimi Katayama, Takashi Yorino, and Yojiro Terada.
