Here's a short summary of the history of NNT Modell + Buch:

The company NNT Modell+Buch was founded as one-woman-business by Mrs. Niklová-Thiel in January 1996 with the support by her husband. The main business was as shipping company.
It was her aim to bring a wide-spread offer to the modeller. The sortiment of NNT Modell + Buch contains not only plastic-kits but also resin-kits from small companies, a big range of accessories (conversion kits, photo-etched parts, decals etc.) and respective literature. The constant increasing number of customers prooved that the company had chosen the correct way in offering real "specialities".
To come up to the wished of the customers even more, an own range of resin-ship-kits in 1:700 scale was started in 1999. In the meantime there are 26 kits, of which until now 8 were awarded "model of the year" by the German modelling magazine Modell Fan. The NNT range was extended with accessory parts and turned brass barrels.
Mrs. Niklova Thiel retired in the year 2013 and Ralf Schuster is now the owner of the company.
About me: I was born in 1966 and grew up in Karlsruhe, where my family lives. After my studies I worked for several years in market research functions with direct contacts to customers. I’m an active modeller since I was seven. My main interest was always in ships, especially in the scale 1:700. Over the years I became a specialist in this topic and have already built up contacts with international producers. Since several years now I’m member of the IG Waterline, the largest private modellers-society in Germany for waterline kits, have attended fairs and exhibitions regularly and have written many kit reviews for different publications.
Now I have taken the opportunity to make my hobby to my profession. The line of NNT products will be continued and there will be new kits from the proven and established team.
